200 HOUR HATHA VINYASA TEACHER TRAINING

SCOUT STUDIOS ST PETERS | STARTING AUGUST 3, 2026

An immersive and inclusive 200hr Hatha Vinyāsa teacher training, led by Golden Yoga School in collaboration with Scout Studios - designed to guide you in teaching transformational yoga, deepen your own practice, and connect with a supportive, like-minded community.

With over 18 years of international teaching experience, Sandy King (they/them), an advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher, brings their revolutionary yoga teacher training to Sydney’s Inner West - alongside a diverse lineup of expert guest teachers.

This comprehensive training is rooted in lineage, vibrant with creativity, and challenges conventional ideas of what modern yoga can be.

Go beyond āsana (postures) and dive deep into mantra, meditation, breath, philosophy, music, activism, anatomy, energetics, yoga history, and so much more.

Golden Yoga School proudly offers traditional teachings through a relevant, modern lens, utilising a holistic and inclusive approach where everyone is welcome, just as they are.

This two-month immersive schedule (August–September) is mostly in-person at Scout, St Peters, with a small portion delivered online.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Sandy (they/them) is an internationally beloved yoga teacher, praised for their creative, insightful and transformative classes. Since graduating as a yoga teacher at the age of 19, Sandy’s life has been in pursuit of deepening their relationship to this mystical practice. Integrating music, mantra, philosophy, touch, prānāyāma, kriya, āsana and activism, Sandy is proud of their strong connection to yogic lineage (Jivamukti Yoga).

They have lived experience as a queer, non-binary, neurodivergent person, and as such, teaches through an inclusive lens, centred around kindness and breaking down barriers.

Sandy has been mentoring teachers since 2013, and facilitated teacher trainings since 2019.

WHY THIS TRAINING?

  • Rooted in tradition, grounded in today – we honour the origins of yoga while exploring its relevance in the modern world.

  • Run by queer, gender-diverse, and neurodivergent facilitators – creating a space where diverse experiences are not only welcomed but centred.

  • A trauma-aware, inclusive environment – no written exams, no rigid expectations. Learn at your own pace, in the way that works best for you.

  • We’re not afraid of big questions – this training includes open, thoughtful discussion of the social, political, and environmental issues shaping our world.

  • Immersive format – all sessions take place within a 6-week bracket to allow for an in-depth experience, like an urban retreat, to live your yoga.

  • Small group numbers – ensuring personalised attention, deeper connection, and more meaningful support throughout.
